33 year old Shane van Gisbergen  has achieved his third Supercars Championship title. The trophy was presented at the last round in Adelaide although he had amased an unbeatable score by the previous round on the Gold Coast. He had been the most dominant driver over the whole year and  is now the 11th driver to have won three championship titles.

Following the final race for the year he produced one of the most spectacular burnouts ever witnessed.
